The finest gesture one can make is to save life by donating blood said Prof. Leo Noronha, the Principal of St Philomena College.
He presided over the Blood Donation Camp jointly organised by the PG Department of Social Work and The Student Welfare Committee of the
St Philomena College in co-ordination with Rotary-Campco Blood Bank, Puttur and Wenlock Hospital on November 25, 2015. ‘Blood donation is a holy task which shows our kindness to the society’, he added.
The resource person Dr. Ramachandra Bhat of Rotary Campco Blood Bank elaborately explained the importance of blood donation.
Fr. Prince, the Convenor of Student Welfare Committee was present at the programme. Ms. Manasa presented the prayer song. Prof. Prasanna Kumar, Co-ordinator of PG Department of Social Work welcomed the gathering. Ms. Priyanka, Assistant Professor proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Priyanka B. M. Compered the programme.
