Industrial Visit Programme

The Department of PG studies in Economics, St Philomena College Puttur organized ‘Industrial Visit Programme’ on October 21, 2017.

Under this programme, students of the Department visited the CAMPCO Chocolate Factory of Puttur. The Junior Welfare Officer of the HR Department Mr. Radhesh explained the working of the factory. He said, “The Campco is one of the India’s most modern chocolate manufacturing co-operatives. It has diverse products. This factory aims at helping the farmers by procuring more and more areca and cocoa, then utilizing them in manufacturing chocolates.” He also explained the incorporation, background, objectives and functions of various departments.

The Junior Operator Mr. Shivaprasad Kamath demonstrated the technological devices used in processing and manufacturing of chocolates.

This programme was organized by the Department to acquire practical knowledge about the working of an industrial unit. The faculty members of the Department Ms. Mahitha Kumari M and Mrs. Sandhya H coordinated the programme.
