Inauguration of NSS Annual Special Camp

DSCN0277The National Service Scheme is organising a 7 days Annual Special Camp from 24th to 30th November, 2014 in Panaje Higher Primary School with the motto  ‘Healthy Youngsters for the Healthy County’.

The camp was inaugurated by the Director of Dakshina Kannada Milk Federation, Mr.Narayan Nayak.  In his inaugural address he said,” Our youngsters should not be a slave of anybody. They should be self made. All the youngsters should work sincerely and take up the responsibility of developing our society.”

The Chief Guest of the function, the Chairman of St.Philomena College of P.G Studies and Research Centre, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro called on the students to be a good citizen by imbibing good values and set an example for the rest.

The President of Panaje Grama Panchayat, Ms. Bharathi Shivappa said, “NSS camp helps in the overall personality development of the students. This activity of group living for 7 days  will help the students gain collective experience sharing, sharing responsibilities and also respect others point of view.”

Prof. Leo Noronha in his presidential address wished the students good luck and told them to make the best use out of this camp.

President of SDMC, Mr. Satya Narayan Adiga, Health Officer of Panaje, Dr. Krishnamoorthi and the Head Mistress of Panaje Higher Primary School, Ms. Janaki participated in the programme.

During the camp various activities will be conducted for the students which will help them in learning to confront the real life problems and they will also be created awareness about the community around them and their responsibilities towards it.
