On the occasion of 5th International Yoga Day, St Philomena College and St Philomena PU College jointly celebrated Yoga Day on June 21, 2019 in Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall of the college.  

Ayurveda and Yoga Consultant of Puttur City Hospital Dr. Chethana inaugurated the programme. She said, ‘Yoga plays a predominant role to keep up our physical and mental health. In the present period, tension, stress, depression etc., are quite common in human life. In order to overcome these difficulties, it is inevitable to practice yoga regularly.’  

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the chief guest and gave his message.

19 Karnataka BN Madikeri directed this prgramme. NCC cadets, sports persons, members of Rovers-Rangers, inmates of St Philomena College Hostel for Men and women have demonstrated various yoga asanas on this occasion.
