The Post graduate Department of Physics organized ‘ Fresher’s Day on August 28, 2018 in PG Seminar hall.
The formal function commenced at 2.30 p.m. The programme was begun with the prayer. Prof. Leo Noronha , Principal of the college was the president of the function , Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairperson of PG Studies was the Chief Guest, Dr A.P. Radhakrishna H.O.D. of Physics was the Guest of Honor, Dr E. Deepak D’Silva , coordinator of PG Department of Physics was also present on this occasion.
The coordinator of the Department Dr E. Deepak D’Silva in his message explained the meaning and purpose of Education and also told the students to adopt good qualities in their life so that they can be role model to the people in the society.
The Guest of Honor Prof. A.P. Radhakrishna in his speech mentioned different opportunities available to the students to enter the various fields to explore their capabilities. He also quoted various achievements from students and faculty members of the department.
The Chief Guest of the programme Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro said reasoning, common sense, desire to learn, writing skill, reading skill and communication skill are important to achieve success in student life.
Principal Prof. Leo Noronha told that, science students speak less and work hard and their work sounds more than their speech. He wished all fresher’s a happy time in the campus.
The faculty members of the department were present during the occasion. Ms Sahana and team sung the prayer song , Ms Rashmitha welcomed the gathering, Ms Thashrifa proposed the vote of thanks, Ms Sindhu compered the programme.
