Welcome to St. Philomena College

St. Philomena College, Puttur is affiliated to Mangalore University and is managed by the Catholic Board of Education, Mangalore. Puttur, until the 1950s was an unheralded place in the coastal Karnataka region. The College was founded in 1958 with express objective of educationally empowering the people of Puttur. The founder Msgr Antony Patrao founded and tended the Institution with motherly care. His example was emulated by his successors. The college offers SIX UG degree programmes under Credit Based Semester Scheme (CBSS) of Mangalore University. A three year degree programme comprises SIX semesters of 16 weeks each.

Post Graduate Courses

The College offers Six PG Programmes under Choice Based Semester Scheme (CBSS) of Mangalore University. A two year programme comprises FOUR Semesters of 16 weeks each.
