The Post Graduate Department of Social Work, St Philomena College, Puttur in Association with KMC Mangalore, Gramothana Seva Centre, Uruvalu, & Other Community Based Organisation of Andethadka – Ilanthila organized Free Medical Camp as a part of Philo- Vikasa-2019 (Series of Community Development activity) at D K Z P H P School, Andethadka- Illanthila on 10.11.2019.
Medical Camp is an opportunity for the Social Work students to have a better experience of community life & improve their professional skills by organizing need based programmes & awareness campaigns with the support and collaboration of local people. It also provides ample opportunity for students to learn the importance of adjustment & coordination in life.
The Health Camp was inaugurated by Mr Yashwanth, Project officer, SKDRDP (R), Gruvayanakere Zone, Belthangady T Q, Mr. U K Isubu, President of Grama Panchayath, Illanthila Presided over the function, Mr. Herbert, Medical Social Worker, KMC Mangalore, Mr. Jeevan , Programme Officer , Gramothana Seva Centre, Uruvalu, Mrs. Moli Wilma Pinto , Headmistress, D K Z P H P School, Andethadka- Ilanthila, Mr. Shnakar Bhat, President , Keshava Shishu Mandira, Vaninagara, Ilanthila, Mr. Sundra Gowda, President, SKDRDP Andethaka Okkuta were present over the formal programme.

Community Development Specialisation students Mr. Nithin Kumar, Mr. Manoj, Mr. Xavier Manoj D Souza, Mr. Madhusudhan S, Ms. Deekshitha, Ms. Varsha & Faculty Members Mrs. Prathibha, Ms. Deepika & Mr. Sheethal Kumar coordinated the programme . More than 200 members took benefits of this free medical camp.
