Orientation Visits by I MSW Students – 2019

As part of introducing Social Work concepts, core skills, contemporary practice methods to MSW students, the Post Graduate Department of Social Work had organized 1 day Orientation Visit for I year MSW Students. Students have visited various voluntary organizations and Care centers in Mangalore on 29th August, 2019.

Orientation visit to various social welfare institutions provide the budding professionals in social work an opportunity to observe, discover and deepen their awareness in social work by understanding the nature, structure and functions of various voluntary organizations. Students had visited Ave Maria Cancer Palliative Care Centre, Vamanjoor, Dharma Jyothi Social Service Centre, HIV Infected children’s Rehabilitation Centre Snehasadan, Kinnikambala, in Mangalore, during their visit schedule. Teaching staff of the department guided the students and accompanied them in the above visit.
