The Resource Person for the day was Mr. Rayi Raj Kumar, Joint Secretary of D. K. District Federation of Consumer Organizations. While addressing the gathering he said, “ Inorder to safeguard the consumer’s rights Consumer Protection Act 1986 was formed. According to this act if there is any flaw in the product or in the service received by the consumer he can take strict legal action against the service provider and seek redressal and compensation. The consumer can also approach the nearby Consumer Forum for guidance and help”. The programme was presided by Prof. Leo Norohna, Principal, St. Philomena College.
The gathering was welcomed by Prof. Dinakar Rao, Director of Suraksha Consumer Forum. Ms. Elita Monteiro and her team sang the prayer song. Ms. Sushmitha P proposed the vote of thanks. The Master of the Ceremony was Mr. Sandeep Rai.
