The three member NAAC Peer team led by Prof. Ashish Roy, former Vice Chancellor, Kalyani University as chairman arrived to St Philomena college Puttur for assessment under third cycle of reaccreditation on April 4, 2016. The other members of the team were Prof. Murli Desai, former Professor and Head, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai as Member Coordinator and Dr. Pande R K, Principal, Shiv Harsh Kisan PG College Basti, Uttar Pradesh as member. On day one of the visit, the team was welcomed by the Secretary of Catholic Board of Education Very Rev Fr Gerald D’Souza, Correspondent of the college Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto, Principal Prof. Leo Noronha, Convenor of NAAC Steering Committee Prof. Ganesh Bhat, Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Convenor of IQAC Dr A P Radhakrishna and other staff members. It was followed by Guard of Honour presented by NCC unit of the College.
After meeting with the Principal, the team interacted with the IQAC and various departments of the college. In the Luncheon meeting with the management the team had a thorough discussion with the members of the Governing body and members of the management. The Peer Team inspected the different Laboratories of the institute, various support services, facilities and met with students, parents and the alumni. A grand cultural programme was organized for the Peer Team in which the students of the college displayed their talents and their diverse cultural backgrounds in varieties of dances.
