The Department of P.G. Physics in collaboration with K.V.G International Public School organized a science model exhibition programme TECH-ZOO-2K15 on 25th November at K.V.G International Public School, Sullia.
The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, chairperson of P.G. studies, St Philomena College, Puttur.
The principal of K.V.G.I.P.S, Bujanga Shetty welcomed the guests and said, “the future of India is in the hands of youth. To achieve pronounced growth in the scientific sector of the nation, the present students should inculcate scientific temperament in them”.
One of the students of K.V.G School, Lasya gave a talk on, “Developing scientific perspective”. After this, a group of students sang a beautiful song of science, and other group presented complete documentary on innovations of science and technology.
The chief guest of the inaugural function of TECH-2015, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his inaugural speech said that, “One of the main ingredients in our life is to become disciplined. Once we disciplined, it is easy to develop the qualities like unquenchable thirst for knowledge, deep interest, wondering capacity, hard working above all to add if we are spiritually and emotionally strong we inherent the qualities of a good scientist”. He also said, “More and more students among you should evolve as scientists and find solutions to the problems of the nation and thereby contribute to the growth of the nation”.
After this inaugural function Students of P.G. Physics of St Philomena College and students of K.V.G.I.P.S demonstrated the science models. Students from nearby schools witnessed this exhibition programme.
