National Seminar on ‘Challenges of Administration of Higher Education Institutes in the Changing Global Scenario’

DSC_4261The Administrative Office of St Philomena College Puttur organized UGC sponsored National Seminar on ‘Challenges of Administration of Higher Education Institutes in the Changing Global Scenario’on January 8, 2016 in college auditorium.

The Registrar of Mangalore University Prof. T D Kemparaju inaugurated the seminar by signing the Attendance Register and in his inaugural address said, ‘Higher education institutions must possess concern and commitment to the changing scenario. Higher education must be suitable for the present market needs.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro in his key note address said, ‘The administrative staff plays a vital role in the creation, management and expansion of an institution. In the growth of an institution everyone must have positive outlook.’

The Correspondent of the college Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto, Principal Prof. Leo Noronha, Syndicate member of Mangalore University Mr. Prasanna Kumar Rai, President of Karnataka State Aided Colleges Non-teaching Staff Association and Corporator of BBMP Mr. Parthibharajan V V graced the occasion. The Secretary of Catholic Board of Education Very Rev. Fr Gerald D’Souza presided over the function.

Mr. Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, MD/CEO, Manipal Event Management Group participated as resource person. 150 delegates from various states participated in the seminar. Ms. Sahana Rao and team presented the prayer song. The convenor of the seminar Mr. Victorian Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Mr. Sudeep Clitus Vas proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Priyanka Adline D’Souza compered the programme.
